THE LUDLOW AIR

The beautiful county of Shropshire where David has lived for 25 years is crowned by the stunningly beautiful town of Ludlow; a place that he and his family have visited many times. ‘The Ludlow Air’ is dedicated to this ancient town enclosed by the serene beauty of the river Teme and with its medieval castle at the centre. Originally composed for the piano, David has always felt that the piece would benefit from an orchestral treatment too and this has proved to be the case. The pageant of medieval events and the gentle flowing waters are intertwined to give a very accurate pastoral scene that exactly invokes the spirit of Ludlow.
