THE PRAIRIE WHISTLER

This is a fantasy piece with an ethereal quasi ‘Spaghetti Western’ feel. During the composition of The Prairie Whistler David tried several different solo instruments but none satisfied his feeling for the piece. He decided that it needed a human whistler an arranger friend called to say that one of Sir Cliff Richards’ backing vocalists could whistle and was prepared to demo the piece for him. This confirmed his instinct that the human quality was essential to the mood of the piece. We are lucky on this recording to have the artistry of international whistling star David Morris.
